For a technical problem, include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, Tend version, and what happened. A screenshot can help. Please leave out passwords and payment-card details.
Restore purchases
Use the same Apple Account that made the purchase. For plant collections, open the plant shop and choose Restore purchases. For extra pot or nursery space, use Restore purchases on the relevant upgrade screen.
Fertilizer is a consumable purchase, so it cannot be restored through Restore purchases. If a payment completed but the fertilizer did not arrive, reopen Tend first. Tend retries unfinished deliveries when the app starts. If it is still missing, contact us before buying it again.
Apple also provides help with missing in-app purchases.
Request a refund
Apple handles payments and refund requests. You can request a refund at Apple’s Report a Problem page. Eligibility is determined by Apple and applicable law.
Your saved garden
Tend stores your garden on your device and automatically backs up all pots, plants, nursery, garden progress, watering history and purchase-related game records to your private iCloud storage when available. Your watering streaks are included. Backup is on by default unless you’ve turned it off. Open Settings → Garden backup in Tend to check the last successful backup or turn automatic backup off.
To restore, sign in to iCloud with the same Apple Account used to make the backup, then choose Settings → Garden backup → Restore your garden in Tend. Select a backup and confirm. This replaces your whole garden, including all pots and your nursery; it does not merge gardens. Tend does not automatically sync gardens between devices.
Restoring purchases and restoring your garden are separate actions. If a backup needs extra pot or nursery space, restore those purchases before restoring the garden.
If backup is unavailable, check that you’re signed in to iCloud, that iCloud is turned on for Tend in your device’s Settings → [your name] → iCloud → See All (or Show All), and that you have iCloud storage available. Check your internet connection, then reopen Tend to try again. Your garden remains saved on this device.
Turning automatic backup off keeps existing iCloud backups. Deleting Tend removes its local game data but also leaves those iCloud backups in place. Check the last successful backup before deleting the app, and contact us first if you are troubleshooting. Your device’s separate backup service may also include app data, depending on your device backup settings.
To delete your iCloud backups, first turn off automatic backup in Tend on every device where you use it, so no new backups are made. Then open your iPhone or iPad’s Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Storage (or Manage Account Storage), select Tend, choose the option to delete its data, and confirm. See Apple’s iCloud storage guide.
Change reminders
Open Tend’s Settings to change watering and gift reminders. If reminders are not arriving, check that notifications are allowed for Tend in your device’s Settings. Focus settings can also silence notifications.
