Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 September 2026
Tend does not send your garden or personal information to us. Your garden is stored on your device, with automatic backup to your private iCloud storage when available. You can turn backup off in Tend’s Settings. If you email us, see Contact and support below.
About this policy
This policy covers Tend for iPhone and iPad, this website, and messages you choose to send us. Odoson Olenghi SL publishes Tend and is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. Our contact details are under Contact and support, with full company details in our Legal notice.
No data collection or tracking
The Tend app does not send your personal information or garden data to us. It has no accounts and does not use analytics, tracking, third-party advertising, or third-party crash-reporting services. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
The plants, artwork, and other game content are included in the app. Tend does not load remote game content.
Your garden and iCloud backup
Your plants, pots, garden progress, watering history, preferences, and purchase-related game records are stored locally. Tend’s widgets use a local copy of the information they need to display your garden. We cannot access this data.
Automatic iCloud backup is on by default unless you’ve turned it off. When iCloud is available, Tend saves your pots, plants, nursery, garden progress, watering history and purchase-related game records to your private iCloud storage using Apple’s CloudKit service. Backups include their date and your device’s name so you can identify them. Plant models, generated previews and garden pictures are not uploaded. We cannot access your private iCloud backups.
You can turn automatic backup off or restore your garden in Tend’s Settings. Turning backup off stops future uploads and keeps existing backups. Deleting Tend also leaves your iCloud backups in place. Tend does not automatically synchronize gardens between devices.
To delete your iCloud backups, first turn off automatic backup in Tend on every device where you use it, so no new backups are made. Then open your iPhone or iPad’s Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Storage (or Manage Account Storage), select Tend, choose the option to delete its data, and confirm. See Apple’s iCloud storage guide.
Your device’s separate backup service may also include app data according to your device backup settings.
Purchases through Apple
Apple handles in-app payments. Tend uses Apple’s purchase information on your device to unlock purchases and deliver items. We do not receive your payment-card details, and Tend does not send purchase records to a developer-operated server.
Apple’s handling of App Store information is explained in App Store & Privacy.
Other apps from our studio
Tend may include links to other apps published by Odoson Olenghi SL. These links open the App Store. We do not track their views or taps or use advertising trackers.
Apple diagnostics
If you choose to share diagnostics and usage information with Apple and app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may provide us with crash reports and aggregated usage information. We use these to identify problems and improve Tend. This is handled by Apple, rather than an analytics or crash-reporting service built into Tend.
You can change your sharing choice in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. See Apple’s information about sharing analytics.
Reminders and garden pictures
With your permission, Tend schedules watering and gift reminders locally on your device. You can change them in Tend’s Settings or turn notifications off in your device’s Settings.
If you choose to save or share a garden picture, Tend passes that picture to Apple’s share sheet. You choose where it goes. Tend does not read your photo library or upload your pictures to us.
Keeping and deleting your data
Local game data stays on your device while you use Tend. Deleting the app removes its local game data; offloading the app keeps that data. Photos you have exported, device backups, and Apple’s purchase history are managed separately through the relevant Apple services. Tend’s iCloud backups remain until you delete them through iCloud storage settings.
There is no Tend account or garden stored on our servers to delete. Restoring an App Store purchase does not restore a deleted garden; garden restoration uses your available iCloud backups separately.

Children’s privacy
The app’s no-data-collection approach applies to all players, including children. If a child sends us personal information in a support message, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its deletion.
